John Ferguson “Jack” Cunningham, 80, of Chillicothe, died 10:22 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born June 26, 1932, in Highland County, Ohio to the late Walter “Butch” and Hazel Ferguson Cunningham. On December 11, 1976, he married the former Sandra M. Martin who survives.
Also surviving are children, John (Susan) Cunningham, Connie (Danny) Coates, Tammy (Joe Osborne) Lusk and Chad (Tabitha) Lusk, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Aaron (Sarah Wallingford) Coates, Adam (Jamie) Coates, Abby (Daniel Renner) Coates, Amy (Jason) Kidnocker, Jodi (Neil) Caruso, Brady Cunningham and Dillon and Audra Lusk; great grandchildren, Jocie Marie Coates, Addison Grace Caruso and Adrianna Jade Kidnocker; a brother Robert Cunningham, of Leesburg; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Todd M. Lusk.
John retired from Wonderbread Hostess Cake and after that he worked for 20 years in security at Kenworth.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Adena Hospice Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware’s from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday (today).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 5555 Frantz Road Dublin, Ohio 43017 or to Adena Hospice Services 111 West Water Street Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
