Gregory W. Dotson

     Gregory W. Dotson, 69, of Chillicothe, passed at 12:53 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026 at his residence unexpectedly.

     He was born February 16, 1957, in Lorain, Ohio, to the late Norma W. and Grace V. King Dotson. 

     Surviving are his siblings, Shirley (Don) Thompson, of Chillicothe, Steven W. Dotson, of Kentucky, Judi Johnson, of Frankfort and Kathy (Joe) Crytser, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Charles Roger Dotson. 

     Greg was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and was a talented chess player.  He also loved to watch golf, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cincinnati Bengals.  Greg loved walking outdoors and enjoyed hunting the ever illusive morel mushroom.  He had a huge heart for stray animals and would do his part to see they were cared for properly.

     Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME.  A graveside service will be held in South Salem Cemetery 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026.
